Lexicon The Rocks
03:20
|
|||
Read my tongue; it's static,
although my lips will shiver
from the cutting chill
beneath my lungs.
I save my breath for breathing.
How do I say, I can't express
the way I feel, can you translate?
There is no language, I can confess,
my thoughts are coded and decay concealed.
While my lexicon is split, I'll put my consciousness on ice,
heat up my thoughts and submit, boil in my private paradise.
Disengage and freeze my jaw, encrypt my phrase, dissect rapport.
Set fire to my words 'cause I'm gonna watch them burn so,
I save my breath for breathing.
How do I say, I can't express
the way I feel, can you translate?
There is no language, I can confess,
my thoughts are coded and decay concealed.

Patchwork
02:59
|

You are the thread that holds me together.
You stitch my soul when I unravel.
Ornament my fabric heart.
You are the hook, you are the anchor.
You are the binding undercover.
Ornament my fabric heart.
I'm patchwork, drawn apart at the seams.
My fibres fray on edges.
You tailor your design for me.
I'm Patchwork
You tailor sequins into stars.
You tailor velvet into night.
You tailor lace into snow.
You tailor everything alright.
You tailor my mannequin.
You keep me human.

Consume This
03:26
|

'Cause it could be worth something.
How does this sound? Not too profound?
Dilute it down, 'cause it could be
so much more accessible.
It could be much more aesthetical;
so much more possessable.
Manufacture a feeling
that there's something appealing;
something worth stealing.
Have I seen this before?
It feels quite familiar.
The description has some great adjectives
but they don't seem to fit the music.
I could do with some hyperbole,
'cause people believe what they read.
How much for a paragraph like this?
Manufacture a feeling
that there's something appealing;
something worth stealing.
'Cause it could be worth something.

Bahamas

Breathe slow; overflow.
Breathe no tomorrow.
Kill blind, sail away,
saving for a tidal wave.
Withdraw, ignore
the fundamental law.
Abuse cruise; no excuse.
Relax, no tax, just sink.
Dig deep, your reward;
capital, floods and storms.
Drown down at the sword
of dividends and global fraud.
Breathe slow.
Life’s a beach.

Refract; Reflect
03:09
|
|||
Of every colour in every scene,
every read and blue and green,
every image and vivid tone;
you're all black.
Of every shade in the north sky,
illuminate emerald light,
every depth of indigo;
you're all black.
Of every glow of precious stone.
of all that's rare and all that's known;
sapphire, amber, Ruby.
Of all the wonders across the map,
of all the things that could turn black;
sapphire, amber.
Of every spectrum, of every prism, of all the light between us;
you are every colour.
Of every spectrum, of every prism, all that my eyes will see;
you are every colour.
But you're all black.
